The white cone tells the story. The Yamaha HS50M is the current version of the familiar, and seen in every studio, Yamaha NS10. The HS50M features a 5" cone and 3/4" dome tweeter in a bi-amped bass reflex MDF enclosure. Inputs are via both balanced XLR and 1/4" phone jacks. In addition to master level controls, each HS50M has trim switches to adjust the low, mid and high frequency response to the application. A Room Control compensates for low frequency built-up when the HS50M is placed closed to a wall. Spurious vibrations and resonances are eliminated with specially designed mounting rings and screws, and the extra thick tweeter frame further minimizes resonances that can interfere with high-end clarity. The HS50M monitor speaker enclosure is constructed of high-quality MDF and feature a multi-layer finish that minimizes sound colouring resonances.
The HS50M frequency response can be extended down to 30 Hz with the HS10W Powered Subwoofer.
